Westland House in Canberra runs several workshops each year for specific groups of people, as part of its Community Development Program.

Groups have included both younger and older gay and bisexual men, people with HIV/AIDS, lesbians and bisexual women.

The programs focus on personal development and building supportive networks and usually run over one weekend and evenings.

Courses are facilitated by peer educators, and there is no charge for participants.

While structured, each course is run informally to meet the needs of each group and provides participants with an opportunity to meet other like-minded people in a safe and relaxed environment.

If you would like more information about any of these courses, or would like to enrol in a course, please contact the Community Development Unit.
