"Hug A Trans-Person Day" is a global event held every May 2nd.

Three years ago the "Hug A Trans-Person Day" began with about three hundred people. It now has grown to be celebrated by thousands of people in dozens of countries around the world.

Some might ask, what is this event/movement for. That is a fair question. Above all, we are for awareness and equality for trans people. (We) the group, ask for nothing more than equal rights. Not special rights. Nothing that trumps the rights of others, but just fairness, equality, and a safe world for us to live in.

Our mission is to be the official organizer of the international May 2nd, "Hug a Trans-Person" Day.

But beyond our duties as marshals for this important global awareness day, we are an organization dedicated to the promotion of transgendered and gender-varient rights around the world.
