Interested in joining Canberra Roller Derby League?
Get Involved Roller derby is a full contact sport, which is hard, fast and furious. CRDL League skaters train for three hours, twice a week, throughout the year. New skaters don’t just put on their gear and start hitting people on the track. All skaters (including refs) must have the right skills and fitness to be safe to play the game.
How do I join? People interested in finding out about joining CRDL as a skater or ref please contact the league on the following email address:

CRDL is currently evaluating our member numbers and plans for future intakes. If you join our mailing list you will receive all notifications relating to future skater recruitment. New skaters and referees are expected to complete a Fresh Meat Course. Fresh Meat is the place to tighten up your skating skills and introduce you to the world of Roller Derby. Courses usually run for 10 weeks.
For a Fresh Meat graduate to become a bouting derby skater they are expected to commit to training regularly with more experienced league skaters, well before they are ready to hit the derby track. For the players’ safety all new skaters and refs will be expected to pass a series of skills tests before bouting. If you are an experienced derby skater or referee interested in joining CRDL you may be eligible to join without completing a Fresh Meat course. For inquires please contact: crdltraining “at” gmail.com
