Only in a America... Hungry for FAME. Hustling For Money. Hopeful to MAKE-IT. Boys from different sexual orientations get emotional and financial support from their partners to pursue their Hollywood dreams. A reality TV show pilot.
LOS ANGELES: New TV series follows gay men who leave city life for a farm.
Take two gay boy city slickers (one, an ex-drag queen), a herd of goats, a narcissistic llama, a 200 year-old farm complete with a ghost, and what do you have?
A tale ripe for a TV documentary-drama series aimed at putting fabulous back into farming while proving that people can still look immaculate surrounded by mud and manure.
"The Fabulous Beekman Boys", which premieres on cable TV channel Planet Green on Wednesday, follows a year in the life of former Martha Stewart Living executive Brent Ridge and New York advertising executive Josh Kilmer-Purcell as they revive a farm in rural New York and create a new organic lifestyle brand, Beekman 1802.
While their adventure may sound peaceful in a bucolic setting -- and, in fact, Ridge does show a passion for washing pigs and each of the 100 goats has a name -- it is anything but that, as the self-described "accidental farmers" ditch their big city habits for making goat's milk soap and cheese.
Set in the Arizona Sonoran desert EATING OUT stars Scott Lunsford as Caleb, a hunky straight college student, who falls for Gwen (Emily Stiles). Caleb's gay roommate, Kyle (Jim Verraros), convinces him that pretending to be gay will get Gwen's attention, and it does. But instead of hooking up with Caleb, Gwen decides to fix him up with her own gay best friend, Marc (Ryan Carnes). Meanwhile Gwen’s latest boyfriend Joey (Billy Shepard) confesses to her that he is actually gay.
Puzzled by her attraction to gay men, Gwen sadly wonders if she'll ever fall for a straight guy. When Caleb agrees to go on a “date” with Marc, Kyle gives Caleb some pointers, secretly hoping this will eventually bring him closer to his own desire: Marc. But things get complicated and Caleb is faced with a confusing situation -- how does he reveal his true feelings for Gwen without hurting Kyle or Marc? Marc can't tell why the new guy is so hot and cold while Kyle watches the two loves of his life leave him behind. EATING OUT is writer/director Allan Brocka's feature debut and was shot on location in Tucson, Arizona in only ten days.
Andy Blubaugh’s movie 'The Adults in the Room' (screening Sunday, May 2 at the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival) is a deeply personal project for him. As a high school teenager he embarked on an illicit affair with a seductive man twice his age and now at 30-years-old himself, Andy has decided to examine the past with an adult perspective.
In 1995, Andy Blubaugh—then a curious and lonely fifteen-year-old—began a sexual relationship with Peter, a successful, deeply closeted man who was nearly twice his age. In 2010, Andy now a filmmaker and teacher, revisited this complex relationship in a hybrid documentary film and how it informed his own sense of boundaries with his teenage students.
The film combines re-enactments of their troubled romance through the recollections of a now wiser Andy and interviews with relationship columnist Dan Savage, educators and social workers to explore this thorny issue of adolescent sexuality and the relationships that make us who we are. To help reflect the tension between the narrative and documentary portions the flashback scenes were shot on super-16 film stock while the modern day reflections on these events were shot on HD video.
The Adults In The Room, is Andy Blubaugh’s first feature film. His shorts Scaredycat, Hello Thanks screened at the Sundance film festival.
The Adults In The Room was selected for presentation at IFP’s Independent Film Week 2008, and is the recipient of grants from the Regional Arts and Culture Council and the Oregon Arts Commission. Production was completed in the Fall of 2009 and will be screening at festivals.
Another Gay Movie was about getting laid for the first time. In true gay fashion, Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild is about who can get laid the most.
ANOTHER GAY SEQUEL finds our heroes ANDY, NICO, JAROD and GRIFF reuniting at a gay resort in sunny Fort Lauderdale for Spring Break. They participate in a contest called 'Gays Gone Wild!' to determine who can attain the most "buttlove" over the course of the vacation.
Between Wet Package contests, Evil Gay Fratboys, and genital crabs the size of kittens, it's a bumpy road to booty victory. But this time around, love proves to be the biggest conflict of all as the boys struggle to rectify just how casual sex fits into their lives.
