FUSE28 — Be yourself... colour outside the lines
It's our Birthday
Birthdays are funny things. In our youth we love them but as we get older... eh, not so much. As we enter into our fourth year here at FUSE we’re still loving our birthdays and feeling very grateful for all the fantastic community support we have had from everyone — including our readers, contributors and advertisers — who make it possible to go to print with each issue.
Over the years we have had the pleasure of meeting and working with so many amazing people, talented writers, photographers and artists, and I’m sure that there will be many more to come.
In this, our third birthday issue, we have some great features for your reading pleasure: With the help of Jacqui Bushell, Naturopath and Herbalist, we look at being happy and living stress free in today’s demanding world. So many of us live under high pressure, often feeling completely overwhelmed. Being happy can be just plain hard work in itself. But all is not lost. Our five simple ways will get you on the right track to being fulfilled and happy everyday. p30.
We also look at the hobby that has literally taken the world by storm, Instagram. With over 40 million users this photo app helps individuals see the world in a whole new way and reminds us of the beauty in everything — even the mundane. With Instagram every click has the potential to make a fabulous picture. Find out what all the fuss is about. p18.
We chat to openly gay white soul boy, Sam Sparro. Fresh from Mardi Gras, we talk to him about music, love lost, his quest for happiness and his dog, George Michael III. p24.
And lastly we interview lesbian pop mistress LALA. We wanted to know more about the girl who’s been turning heads and making a new style of dance music that has gay and straight party goers begging for more. p10.
PS: A big thank you for everyone who posted so many wonderful birthday wishes on the FUSE Facebook page.
