Council on the Ageing (COTA) ACT
In the Australian Capital Territory, COTA ACT is the peak organisation concerned with all issues related to ageing. It is an independent, non-party political and non-religious organisation working to protect and promote the well-being, rights and interests of all older people in the ACT, irrespective of socio economic, ethnic, religious or cultural background.
We are the voice of older Canberrans and work with Government on many related issues. We co ordinate the Seniors Card program and offer a range of services and support options for older people.

For a low annual membership fee, you can become a member and enjoy the benefits of being part of the COTA ACT community. COTA members receive a wide range of exclusive benefits through the COTA Rewards and Savings program including insurance designed specifically for over 50s, two-for-one dining, savings on food shopping, electrical, fuel, retail shopping and leisure activities.
Members also access a Wine Club and a Travel Club as well as COTA Home Maintenance Services, for small and large jobs around home. Anyone can join COTA ACT irrespective of their age, background or where they live. We welcome new members.

ACT Seniors Week is an annual celebration featuring hundreds of free events held across the ACT by government, community and commercial organisations.
