RISE UP by QWIRE
If there’s one thing you can be sure of in these uncertain days, it’s that you’ll have a fabulous time at a Canberra Qwire concert.
Returning to Llewellyn Hall after the long months of no performances, the 60-strong Qwire will make you laugh, cry, and feel a whole lot better than when you arrived. Titled “RISE UP!”, the concert celebrates coming together again, better than ever, overcoming all the hardships of 2020 with hope and resilience.
The Qwire’s repertoire for the concert includes a good splash of pop, some meltingly beautiful ballads, some classics and some new songs to keep your ears tingling and your heart beating.
Along with Karen Wilden and Jenny Sawer both directing, and pianist Jessica Stewart accompanying, the performance will feature an ensemble of musicians accompanying the singers for extra loveliness.
