The annual Canberra Ceramics exhibition by students and teachers is an opportunity to celebrate the skills and creativity of the many students who attend classes at Canberra Potters. It can be quite daunting putting your work on public display, so participating in this exhibition is not mandatory but instead, we leave it up to the students to decide when they feel ready to exhibit.
Canberra Potters term classes, workshops and masterclasses cater for potters and ceramicists of any level, from total beginners to professionals.
Adult classes include hand-building and wheelwork and provide tuition for both beginners and experienced potters. We are fortunate to have one of the best facilities in Canberra for after-school, weekend and holiday classes for children. Classwork includes decorating and glazing techniques, and students gain an understanding of the firing process.
A strong, experienced team of teachers is invaluable in guiding students in their exploration of clay and creativity and we are fortunate to have wonderful teachers and classroom staff who are all excellent potters in their own right. This strong teaching team is supplemented by visiting artists, including our visiting artists-in-residence.

Delivery of entries is still open until this Sunday, 7 May 2023. Please bring your labelled works into the shop/gallery with your accompanying entry form from 10am - 4pm Friday 5 or Saturday 6 May, or 11am - 3pm Sun 7 May.
Entry forms are available in the CPS shop, or you can download them via the link above. Work for the exhibition can be submitted by students who have attended classes at Canberra Potters in the last 12 months. There are loads of prizes to be won, and entry is free!
