Dear LJ, Wow, that was a short honeymoon. This might be a red flag — you need to quickly establish why your girlfriend wants to sleep alone.
It could be that she is a light sleeper, maybe you toss and turn or snore, or perhaps she just wants to sleep alone. A conversation will give you both an opportunity to address the issue and devise a solution that works for both of you.
If there is no practical reason why, then you need to ask yourself, do I want to be in a long-term relationship with someone who doesn’t want to sleep in the same bed? It’s totally OK to bow out if this is a deal-breaker for you. Remember, there are two people in
your relationship, and each person must have their needs met for the relationship to be healthy and thriving.
