Acting Out! is a free inclusive drama program for LGBTQIA+ Youth aged 12-17 yrs.
Acting Out is an inclusive drama program brought to you by Rebus Theatre and the Canberra Inclusive Partnership. The program is funded by the Chief Minister's Charitable Fund and will be led by Sammy Moynihan and Anaïs Maro, with a youth peer worker from Merdian onsite for each class. Join us for an inclusive drama program with this dynamic duo of international proportions! Sammy and Anaïs are passionate explorers of humanity and theatre.
Come play and learn with them in an inclusive space whilst creating a new work informed by theatre styles from all over the world!
This workshop will give you performance skills and an inclusive space to play and make important new work about the things that are important to you. Acting Out will introduce participants to a range of skills and theatre techniques in term 1, before delving into the process of devising work for performance in term 2. There will be an informal performance for friends and family at the end of the semester.
